Workshops

The key to writing good poetry is to immerse yourself in reading and listening to poetry and the Ledbury Poetry Festival is the perfect opportunity to do both. There are writing workshops happening on almost every day of the Festival led by our poet in residence Billy Collins, Mario Petrucci, Pascale Petit and Dan Chiasson. All the workshops aim to generate new writing and ideas about poetry, in a supportive atmosphere and to ground theory in craft and practice. Themes include carpe diem or seizing the day and writing from art.

Festival calendar

The 2010 festival calendar gives you an overview of the entire Festival. The world of poetry is truly rich and various, and we celebrate it here at Ledbury Poetry Festival with live readings, performances, talks, music, food, walks, workshops, family and street events.
